This show is the result of a 31-Day art challenge, to start the new year with a burst of creativity every day in January.
This is the fourth year we have undertaken this project, and our group has grown to over twenty. Some of us are practicing artists, and some find creativity in other ways. We worked individually daily and shared images, thoughts and encouragement online, surprising ourselves with the depth of our engagement. Previous years have culminated in a gallery show at the Commons Cohousing in Santa Fe, where a number of us live, as well as showings in collaboration with 1415 Gallery’s Art-A-Day show in Albuquerque. We are especially grateful this year to Kim Aronson for providing us this digital platform as part of his wonderful creative practice. Sharing our art is claiming the value of art and community as part of the practice of being human. We hope you are inspired to embrace your own creative impulses. Join us next year and create your own 31 Days! Carol Schrader and Jasmine Quinsier |
